WED Awards $550k Business Scale-Up Funding to PUG Interactive

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, [August 12, 2019] — PUG Interactive Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been selected by Western Economic Diversification Canada to receive $550k in funding through the Business Scale-up and Productivity (BSP) program.

Federal minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Navdeep Bains made the announcement along with Terry Beech, MP for Burnaby North-Seymour.

The objectives of the BSP program are to assist firms with high-growth potential to scale-up and expand; support technology demonstration and the commercialization of new technologies; encourage the early adoption or adaptation of leading-edge technologies and processes to improve productivity; and, increase businesses’ capacity to grow through market diversification and entry into global markets.

BSP is a competitive process, with only the strongest companies being selected based on the highest merit and fit with BSP objectives are considered for funding. Companies are required to demonstrate market potential/demand, management capability, financial capacity, and economic benefits. Commercialization of PUG Interactive’s Picnic™ Customer Engagement Hub platform fulfilled BSP’s criteria owing to its tremendous growth potential to scale up with a leading-edge new technology that will allow the company to expand through market diversification and entry into global markets.
